The Real Favor

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

قال الله تعالى:

وَأَنزَلَ اللّهُ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَكَ مَا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَعْلَمُ وَكَانَ فَضْلُ اللّهِ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيماً
[النساء : 113]

وقال أيضاً:

يُؤتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَن يَشَاءُ وَمَن يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْراً كَثِيراً وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُوْلُواْ الأَلْبَابِ
[البقرة : 269]

■ لقد أعطى اللهُ تعالى قارونَ المال ولم يقل له "وكان فضل الله عليك عظيماً"، لكنه قالها لرسوله محمد عليه الصلاة والسلام. إذاً ...

الفضل العظيم:

• أن تعرف الله.
• وأن توقع حركتك وفق منهج الله.
• وأن تعرف غاية وجودك.
• وأن تعرف سر وجودك.
• وأن يكون لك عمل صالح، يصلح للعرض على الله.

■ قال العلامة ابن القيم: وأحسن ما قيل في الحكمة قول مجاهد ومالك، إنها: معرفة الحق والعمل به، والإصابة في القول والعمل، وهذا لا يكون إلا بفهم القرآن، والفقه في شرائع الإسلام، وحقائق الإيمان.

- كما عرّفها أنها: "فعل الشيء الذي ينبغي، على الشكل الذي ينبغي، وفي الوقت الذي ينبغي".

- وقال رحمه الله أيضاً: والحكمة، حكمتان: علمية، وعملية. فالعلمية: الإطلاع على بواطن الأشياء، ومعرفة ارتباط الأسباب بمسبباتها، خلقاً وأمراً، قدراً وشرعاً. والعملية: وضع الشيء في موضعه.

وهي على ثلاث درجات:

- الدَّرجة الأولى: أن تعطي كلَّ شيء حقَّه ولا تعدِّيه حدَّه، ولا تعجِّله عن وقته، ولا تؤخِّره عنه.
ولها ثلاثة أركان: العلم، والحلم، والأَنَاة.
وآفاتها وأضدادها: الجهل، والطَّيش، والعجلة.
فلا حِكْمَة لجاهل، ولا طائش، ولا عجول.

- الدَّرجة الثَّانية: أن تشهد نظر الله في وَعْده، وتعرف عدله في حُكْمه، وتلحظ بِرَّه في منعه.

- الدَّرجة الثَّالثة: أن تبلغ في استدلالك البصيرة، وفي إرشادك الحقيقة. وفي إشارتك الغاية.
تصل باستدلالك إلى أعلى درجات العلم. وهي البصيرة التي تكون نسبة العلوم فيها إلى القلب كنسبة المرئي إلى البصر. وهذه هي الخصِّيصة التي اختصَّ بها الصَّحابة عن سائر الأمَّة. وهي أعلى درجات العلماء .

In the Name of ALLAH, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

ALLAH said:

~((And ALLAH gave you The book (Al-Quran) and Al-Hikmah (the wisdom), And HE learned you what you didn't know, And ALLAH's favor was great for you.))~
[Surah Al-Nisaa': 113]

And HE said also:

~((HE grants Al-Hikmah (the wisdom) to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Al-Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember except who are reasonable.))~
[Surah Al-Baqarah: 269]

■ ALLAH gave Qaroon the wealth (a lot of money), But HE didn't say to him "And ALLAH's favor was great for you" in Qura'n! However, HE said that to His messenger Muhammad peace be upon him, So …

The grand favor is to:

• Know ALLAH.
• Make your works parallel to his method.
• Know the aim of your being.
• Know the secret or your being.
• Having good deeds, which are suitable to be showed in front of ALLAH.

Ibn al-Qayyim said: "The best that has been said regarding hikmah is that which was said by Mujahid and Malik: "Knowledge of the truth, acting upon it, correctness in speech and action," and this is impossible to achieve except by understanding the Qur'an, and having fiqh in the laws of Islam and the realities of faith."

- He Ibn al-Qayyim also said: "Hikmah is to do that which needs to be done, in the manner in which it needs to be done, at the time in which it needs to be done."

- He also divided hikmah into two categories, and three levels:

"Hikmah is of two types: that which is related to knowledge, and that which is related to action. So, that which is related to knowledge is to realize the essence of things, and to understand the connection between cause and effect – in regards to the Creation, occurrence of events, fate, and legislation. As for the action-based hikmah, it is to put things in their proper places.

And it is of three levels:

1) that you give everything its right and do not exceed the limits in this, and that you do not rush it before or delay it past its proper time;

2) that you realize Allah's intent in His Promise, realize His Justice in His Decision, as well as His grace in preventing you from something. And from that which defines this level is that which has been said by the people of firmness and Sunnah: 'Hikmah consists of the lofty and praiseworthy goals that are necessitated by his Creating and Commanding, for which He Commanded, and for which He Predestined;

3) that you reach the highest levels of knowledge when making deductions and coming to conclusions, and it is the insight, the knowledge of which is to the heart like something which is being looked at to the eyes that are looking at it (i.e., in confirming that the organ is functioning properly). And this is the exclusive level that has been reserved for the Companions over the rest of the Ummah, and it is the highest level that the scholars can reach."
